individual volunteer opportunities

Class Facilitators: Lead classes/groups within any of our five core program areas. 

Tutors: Provide tutoring for GED completion or other educational needs.

Individual Professional Support: Provide specialized one-on-one support to residents in areas such as budgeting, credit repair, and career development.

Babysitters: Serve as a babysitter to provide support to residents when while they attend appointments, job interviews, etc. 

Certified Doulas: Assist residents to prepare for childbirth.

Mentors: Pair up with a resident and be a part of one mother’s journey.

Transportation: Provide rides to residents for job interviews, doctor appointments, etc. 

Residential Life Support: Assist with the house support shift including cleaning, organizing and client assistance.

Organizing/Cleaning: Assist in home/donation organization or cleaning in the home.

Skills/Trade Services: Provide plumbing, electrician, auto-repair, or handyman services to the house. 

Special Events: Serve as a volunteer for special events, including help with set-up/take-down, registration table, babysitting, etc. 

 

Volunteer Process: 

  1. Fill out the Volunteer Application

  2. Attend a VolunTOUR orientation*

  3. Get placed as a volunteer and begin serving!

*Some volunteer opportunities such as babysitting require an additional orientation.
